About Me

Matt joined State Farm as an Agent in 2015. Matt has embraced his assignment in Elwood and has strived to be very active within the Madison County community. The office handles Car insurance (auto) and Homeowners insurance (home) along with Business and Renters insurance, Boat insurance , RV and Motorcycle Insurance, Health Insurance and Life Insurance (whole and term life...) Matt also deals with Financial Services. The office provides free insurance quotes, call (phone) text, email or stop in. The office has over 60 years of insurance experience in the Elwood area!!!!!

Matt is an active member of Elwood Kiwanis, Elwood Chamber of Commerce, Northern Madison County Drug Coalition, Elwood C.A.R.E.S. Group and the Elwood Elks.

Matt prides his agency by giving back to the community by events such as: Concerts in the Park, Free Day at the Elwood Pool, Taste of Elwood. Matt and his office staff can be seen participating in the 4th of July and Elwood Glass Festival parade, Red Gold Chili Cookoff and Light up the Magic Christmas Lighting. The office is a proud sponsor of the Elwood Golf Links Jr Golf program, and sponsor of the press box at the local little league park.

Matt and his wife Lynn have been married for 24 years and have two children. Their son Keaton is a graduate of ISU pursuing a career in Law enforcement, their daughter Maty is a high school student in Noblesville very active in Cheerleading. The family's baby is a 7 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Ruby (if you're lucky, she may just meet you at the office!)

Matt enjoys coaching and playing soccer with Noblesville United Soccer. He is Duke University Basketball fan....Go Blue Devils! He enjoys traveling, movies, concerts, spending time with friends & family and most importantly embarrassing his teenage daughter whenever possible!

Matt Minick State Farm is led by Office Manager (Assistant to the Agent, Matt) Lauren "wish I owned a beet farm/bed & breakfast" Shepherd. The Service Team consists of "The One & Only" Diane Wheeler and Lora "terrified of spiders" Boudreaux. Our customer acquisition consultant Brady "not TOM or Part of the Bunch" Walden.

Lauren joined our team in 2018. As the office manager, Lauren leads the team in daily operations such as taking payments, adding new policies, helps with claims and employee training. Lauren's favorite part of the job is sitting down with families and helping them in protecting their loved ones with life insurance as well as income protection. Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys showing her dogs and can be found in the community supporting first responders. She shares a home with her husband, Richard and the two of them enjoy history as well as hunting for antiques.

Diane joined our team in 2016 but has been in the insurance business for over 35 years! She is a 1964 graduate of Wendell Willkie High School. She is our customer service manager and happily greets each customer as they enter our office. Diane enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and her fur babies (Cubbie, Charlie, Teddy and Daisy). She actively helps deliver meals to those in need at the end of every month through St. John's Lutheran Church.
